Add It To Your Social Media Bios

Christians, do you mention that you are Christian in your social media bios?

Christians, you can help promote Christianity’s presence online by writing in your social media bios that you are Christian.  For example, you might say that you are a Christian, mom, and teacher who loves to paint.  Mentioning that you are Christian shows other people that this side of your identity is central to who you are.

 

Saying that you are Christian in your online bios also encourages other Christians to express their identities as Christians online.  It boosts the morale of Christians to see various members of the public expressing their identities as Christians online as well.  It builds a sense of Christian community.

 

Offline, you can also let people know you are Christian in self-introductions of different kinds. For example, you might mention you are a Christian during an ice breaker at an onboarding session for new employees.  One new employee might ask how long you have been a Christian, and that exchange is also part of what helps grow Christianity’s presence in the public.
