The Right Team9/23/2024 Don't start a team that isn't dedicated to the cause. ![]() Christians, of course, ministries that reach out to Christians on the fence are good. However, for those of you specifically trying to form groups to promote Christianity in the public and peacefully challenge anti-Christian influences in society, you need people who are ready to go all in. If you want to protest a workplace where employees aren’t allowed to wear crosses and half the Christians on your team can’t decide where they stand on the issue, your group is divided against itself and set up for failure from the start.
From the start, find people who you know are going to be dedicated to respectfully promoting Christianity and peacefully challenging anti-Christian influences. Don’t team up with people who you know probably aren’t going to stand with you when the time comes just because you are worried you won’t find people who more fully support your vision. It may take more searching.

Doing The Same Thing?9/16/2024 It seems like two people are arguing about backpacks and you just feel like telling both of them to stop. ![]() Christians, many times in life, you might see two people who look like they are doing the same thing, and it might be something that is distracting or irritating you. However, what one person is doing can be very different from what the other person is doing in a key way. It is important to spot that difference so that you can offer help where help is needed instead of mistakenly pointing a finger.
Consider a conflict at school. One student meanly jokes about how cheap her classmate’s backpack looks and another classmate replies by saying she doesn’t think that comment is funny. Irritated by the distraction, another student might be tempted to tell them both to stop arguing.
However, it would be best to say something to deescalate the situation and not something to make both sides look like they were doing something wrong. Someone who doesn't care as much about who is being made fun of and what people are trying to do in a situation like that might just judge both people together. Don't Confuse The Two9/11/2024 People can make you feel like your principles are really about your fears or naiveté. ![]() Christians, don’t confuse your ideas about what is wrong with what people make you think you are afraid to do. If someone asks you to do something you feel you shouldn’t do as a Christian, it isn’t uncommon for the other person to ask you if you are afraid or to make you feel insecure in some other way. You may wonder if you are afraid yourself.
To prepare for these situations, know why you believe what you believe and why it isn’t a matter of you feeling afraid or naive. For example, thinking about your work at a car lot, you know your co-worker likes to put you down for not selling the cars for much more than you do and asks if you are afraid the customers are going to sue you or something. However, remember that you don’t do it because you don’t want to take advantage of the customers.
Your principles are not secretly just some kind of weakness. Understanding this will help prepare you for dealing with these situations. Otherwise, these situations can cause you to question and change your principles for the wrong reasons.

A big part of it is that you don’t like how you’re treated and how you see other people treated by anti-Christian ideas. People who openly show a dislike for religion want you to feel that you believe what you do because you are “old-fashioned” or “closed-minded,” but that isn’t what it is.
The way this situation is often talked about in society can actually trick both you and others. You might see your ideas as “old-fashioned” because that is often how they are described in relation to ideas that are popular today. If that is the case, you might be surprised to learn you are quite the opposite of what both you and others thought.
Not liking how you are treated by people who disdain Judeo-Christian morality and not liking how you see other people picked on and mistreated by people who don’t believe in the Golden Rule, you are both empathetic and desirous of seeing others treated fairly and equally. That is forward-thinking in the truest sense of the word. On the contrary, what should an outlook be called that runs counter to the type of love Jesus Christ talked about? Bad Deals8/27/2024 You're pulled aside at work by a coworker and asked not to talk about church or related ideas in the breakroom as part of a little deal. ![]() Christians, at a new workplace you were hired for a few days ago, you’re pulled aside and asked to make a deal. You’re told that some people in the breakroom find it difficult to hear you talking on the phone about activities at your parish because they have had some problems with religion and ideas associated with that way of thinking in the past. He tells you that if you just wait to make those kinds of calls until you get home, no one will get upset and everyone will have a happier breakroom. You’re hesitant at first, but thinking your accepting a handshake from across the aisle and making a fair deal, you agree. However, off the phone, you’re soon more aware of what your colleagues are talking about in the breakroom, and they’re often topics that seem to attack your ideas in the most upsetting ways.
They are talking derisively about political ideas and candidates you support as a Christian. They’re expressing their disdain for conservatives in one conversation and then talking condescendingly about the US in another. They’re also praising someone from the news who is known to make antisemitic comments. However, you have been made to feel that you aren’t supposed to talk about your ideas and way of thinking. Your voice has been silenced to allow other people to say what they want about people who think like you without any kind of dialogue.
You have made a deal that has effectively shut you down. Christians, if other people are allowed to talk about their ideas in relation to certain topics, you should be allowed to talk about yours. You're not forcing your ideas on anyone. You shouldn't be excluded from the conversation either.

Call-A-Friend Network8/20/2024 Here is a strategy for setting up in-person groups and connecting them to each other and social media. ![]() Pass it on. After bringing together an in-person circle of Christian friends for support and discussion for peacefully addressing challenges Christians face today, call a friend in a nearby city and talk with them about doing the same. If that friend is able to set up their own group, their next step is to call a friend in another city and ask them to do the same. This is a strategy for setting up Christian communities across a state or region that can turn into an integrated, large-scale network.
These networks can grow across a state or region and then across a country. Each individual contacted only needs to bring together a small group. People are calling like-minded friends to set up each new group, which makes the process less difficult.
Significant goals for these groups to focus on concern topics such as promoting Christianity’s presence. For example, after a network is set up across a state or region, a day can be scheduled where all members wear a Christian t-shirt in the public. Each member could post the plan to their social media pages in advance, encouraging others to do the same. On a given day, you’d then have a number of people across a state or region out in the public with shirts with messages such as, “I love Jesus.” With in-person groups in the network, five people could be seen together in a given place with these t-shirts to amplify the message. The practically non-existent state of Christianity’s presence in many public places would suddenly be changed.
